Andie making a "Pretty Face"

We had a blast at the birthday party of Jonathan and Jared Fry a few weeks ago. Shana had the kids bring riding toys to ride around the church gym. There were some of these orange cones set up. When Andie put this one on like a hat, Jason's mom asked her to make a pretty face, and this is the shot we got. Silly girl.

It's Sunday morning. Trey is taking the kids to his parents church this morning. Sweet Dean is sick, so he and I are staying home to snuggle. It was a peaceful morning getting the kids ready - not having to rush around getting myself ready to go. So I took a moment to get a picture of my dressed up babies. I told them they were handsome and pretty. (Evan needed to make clear that he is the handsome one, he is not pretty.)I realize in most of the posts they are dressed up, but truth is, it's a rare thing. I have Andie's hair french braided in this picture - but it's usually quite a mess. We're doing good if it's not full of static, sporting an Albert Einstein look. Not that she cares that just means she's playing hard. Anyway, have a great Sunday.

Fun times with the kids

To encourage Evan during potty training, we rewarded him with a Disney Pixar Car with each BM success. He is very proud of his collection. Way to go Evan!!
PlayDoh time! They were "working hard" yesterday. They were listening to Veggies Tales music (Evan made sure I got the CD player in the picture.) I had them on opposite ends of the table. But they ended up sitting in the same seat, making wonderful creations.
Evan fed Dean his baby food today. It was adorable. Very messy, but so sweet to watch big brother take care of his baby Dean. I love to watch Evan take each new responsibility so seriously. A few months ago I could not have imagined the boy he would grow into. I feel like I am getting to a point where I can enjoy my kids more. It has been many months of intense, stressful multi-tasking. I am able to report to Trey "It was a great day today" over and over again.

Easter

Andie in her Easter outfit. She also wore a white sweater due to the freezing weather.
Dean is 10 months old. He wore one of Evan's old oufits today. His short outfit will have to wait for another day. I would like to show how handsome Evan looked......but he was out of his Sunday clothes and into his favorite Larry Boy shirt before I knew it. Our church had to cancel it's egg hunt due to the snow. So they sent home a sack full of candy for each kid today. Any ideas for getting rid of candy? I hate to throw it away - but that is better than it hanging around here. I would end up eating most of it!

Easter Egg Hunt

What an adorable Granda Bunny! We attended a community egg hunt last Wed.
The kids got to hunt for eggs on the baseball field where Trey played as a boy.
Nothing greater than loading up on sugar! The kids loved it.
