Proud Parents

I am a happy wife with a loving husband. I have three adorable, sweet, and energetic children. Our intention with each day is to serve the Lord. Our blessings are numerous.

Trey made Andie an adorable toddler bed. The head and baseboards have some really cute detail. Andie is proud that it was made by daddy. She has slept perfectly. Evan is kinda jealous. When he first saw it, he tried to stike up a trade. Andie went for it! But momma said she got to spend the first night in her new bed.
Andie and I went to a Mother/Daughter brunch this morning. It was at the home of Lori Wallace. It was a lovely time. Here, the girls are decorating some gingerbread men cookies.
Andie and I in front of Lori's tree. I have to use shot's in front of other's tree's - as I didn't put one up this year. Andie had a great time. She was especially tickled by the Wallace's dog - Tater. Her beautiful dress is from my parents - and I made my first attempt at bow making last night.

Bunco!

I get to play bunco each month with a great group of ladies. This month was at the home of April Patteson. Such a beautiful home topped off with an amazing presentation of food. This is Dean and I in front of April's tree. Sweet Dean always makes a good sidekick. Always a fun time - special thanks to the husbands for putting the kids to bed while we visit, laugh, and play.

Christmas clothes

Grandave and Nana gave the kids these cute outfits. Here are the kids all dressed and ready for our 8:15 church service this morning. Evan is suppost to be holding Dean up in the picture. Trey clicked the shot - then I caught Dean as he was sliding down the side of the seat. He didn't care - floppy is a way of life for him.

I got to take Evan shopping with me Friday night. We had a really good time shopping. He gets so excited about everything he sees. As we enter Old Navy he shouts "LOOK AT ALL THE CLOTHES!!" He had attention and giggles from many shoppers. As we entered another store, I gave him some money to put in the salvation army bell ringers bucket. I'm thinking this is going to be so sweet and such a great lesson for him. Evan was so excited. He put the money in, then stood back and waited. He turned his head to the side then tried to burry his face in the bucket. He looked confused, and asked,"What's gonna happen momma?" The bell ringer told him how he was helping some other boys and girls have a Merry Christmas. Evan is now trying to dig his hand in the bucket - repeating, "what's gonna happen?" The kind bell ringer is still trying to tell Evan how he is helping....I just have to take Evan's hand and walk away. Once he saw all the Christmas trees in the next store, his disappointment was forgotten.

The kids are really into Christmas stories. Our kids Bible just falls right open to the birth of Jesus. Evan's favorite is the part about "The Angry King." When I first told him the story. I said Joseph and Mary hid baby Jesus from Herod. Evan thinks I said hit baby Jesus. So Evan tells me to read about the king who hit Jesus. Andie will wrap a blanket around her face and say in a sweet voice,"I Mary, I Mary." Evan puts a blanket on his head and says,"I'm the king. I hit Jesus." What else can I do but giggle.

Thanksgiving

We traveled to Albuquerque, NM on Thanksgiving day after Trey got off work. The kids did great the first 7 1/2 hours - but all gave out on the last hour of the drive. Who could blame 'em? My body didn't want to sit anymore either. The visit with my parents was wonderful. Trey has lots of video - but we have no still photos to share. We finished our Christmas shopping - they have the best new shopping area! We even got to eat out a couple times (Green chili!!). But a lot of great hanging out with family and close friends was the highlight. On the way home we ended up stretching the trip into 12 hours. It made for a long day, but the kids did great. We got to stop outside Clovis at Trey's cousin's house in Farwell, Tx. Alyson and her family were the best rest stop ever! You are all amazingly kind, have a great home, and sent us away with goodies that kept the kids happy all the way home - priceless! So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are so very thankful for all of our family and friends!
